Oblate Sisters

For a number of years, the Oblate Sisters of the Most Holy Eucharist have been helpful to the Marians in various ways, and we have been their chaplains in the US. They are particularly dedicated to praying for the Church and for priests. The Oblates are in both Stockbridge, MA, on Eden Hill (they have a convent on the grounds) and Washington, DC. They are a wonderful contemplative community, and I urge young women contemplating such a vocation to take a look at this community. I have information on them in some old entries of my blog:

Postulants

We are having quite a year vocation-wise. There are now four men who just entered a shortened postulancy which will end on August 14, when they (God willing) become novices. We also have four men who are scheduled to enter a year-long postulancy on August 15. There are also four men who are scheduled to profess their first year of temporary vows on August 15, and there are two men scheduled to profess perpetual vows soon after that. We also had an ordination to the priesthood in May.

I’m currently in Washington, DC, with the four men in the shortened postulancy.
